It’s that time of year again when trees are in the process of shedding their leaves and buds. We all love a tree in full Bloom, but it’s important to remember that sometimes Trees can get a little too big for their britches. Here are 5 ways to tell if a tree is about to die:

When a tree is dead, its leaves may be falling off or its branches may be twisted. Its trunk may also be weak and infrequent. Additionally, the tree might have no roots left and may only hold small pieces of wood.

What to do if You Suspect a Tree is Dead?

If you notice a dead or dying tree, remove it as quickly as possible. Remove any branches and leaves that are touching the ground, and try to clean up any debris that may have been left behind.
